The
primary objective of all activities
organized by Jeddah Indian Isalhi Center is
propagation of Islam - the Message of Allah
- exactly as it is shown in the Qura'n and
Sunnah. The methods adopted towards
achieving this objective is founded on the
path shown by the Salafs - the virtuous
predecessors who were the followers of
Prophet Muhammed (SA) and their followers,
followers of their followers and so on, in
succession. In other words the Center
strives to follow the Salafs in
understanding and practicing Islam. This is
the essence of Salafi Manhaj.
Various activities of Jeddah Indian Islahi
Center range from Islamic Daawa to social
work among the members of the expatriate
community in Jeddah. Some of these
activities are explained briefly here:
1) Friday Classes: Every Friday
evening Qura'n and Hadith classes are
conducted at the Center Auditorium for
members and patrons of the Center
2) Qutuba Translation: In
collaboration with Islamic Propagation and
Guidance Centers of Jeddah, the Friday
sermons at various mosques in the city of
Jeddah are translated for the sake of
Malayali brothers by scholars delegated by
the center.
3) Da'wa Classes: For convenience of
Daawa work among thousands of Malayali
Muslims spread over the city, branches of
the Center function at various localities in
Jeddah. Each branch unit is headed by
conveners nominated by the Central
Committee. Under the Daawa committee public
meetings are organized when Salafi scholars
arrive in the city. Such meetings are
organized at major auditoria in Jeddah with
permission from concerned authorities.
4) Audio and Video Wing: Audio and
Video recordings of the speeches of Muslim
scholars of Kerala are distributed at the
Center. The audio video cassettes available
will be published from time to time on this

5) Library: A library with number of
books and periodicals in Malayalam and
Arabic function at the Center. Who ever
wants to conduct in-depth study or research
are benefited by the library
6) Publications: The Center organizes
distribution of publications of KNM, ISM,
MSM and Niche of Truth among the Malayalis
in Jeddah. At the moment Al Manar,
Vichinthanam, and Sneha Samvadam are
distributed. The publication wing also
planning to bring out regular news
bulletins.
7) Literary and Cultural Wing: This
wing is responsible for bringing up the
literary and cultural talents of its
members. Potential speakers from among the
members of the Center are found out through
the regular literary and debating sessions.
They are given training in communication and
leadership skills.
8) Madrassa: The Center runs
religious education programs for the
children of expatriate Malayalis. This has
started with the sponsorship of Islamic
Propagation and Guidance Center located at
13th Km on old Makkah road in Jeddah. A
school for higher education up to 10th
standard is also planned.
9) Hajj Caravan: Every year Jeddah
Indian Isalhi Center organizes Hajj Caravan
consisting of Hajis from Jeddah, Riyadh,
Dammam, Madina, Hail, Rabik, Al Qaseem, and
other places in the Kingdom. In the past on
an average 250 to 300 Hajis per year have
perrmed Hajj under the caravans organized by
JIIC.
10) Fitr Zakat: Fitr Zakat collection
and distribution is organized in an
extremely effective and systematic manner
for the last so many years. The dedicated
volunteers of the Center work day and night
in disbursing the Fitr Zakat money and
provisions collected among the poor people
living around in the city.
11) Niche of truth (NOT): The Center
sponsors all the programs of Niche of Truth
in Jeddah. The publications of NOT including
Sneha Samvadam, books and brochures are also
distributed by the Center.
12) Marriage Bureau: In view of the
growing evil of dowry system among Keralite
Muslims, JIIC's marriage counseling cell
helps bachelor/widowed Muslims in Jeddah and
elsewhere in finding appropriate matrimonial
alliances and perform dowry-less marriages.
13) Ifthar: During every Ramadan the
Center organizes Ifthar parties inviting
people from all walks of life. A good cross
section of the expatriate community
representing all factions among Malayali
Muslims join this prestigious event.
